DATE: First Wednesday of each month at 7.30pm VENUE: Saint Aidan's Church Hall
The Men's Group meet for a simple two course meal, with tea or coffee, and a chat. The ladies kindly provide the meal, and those who wish to, bring their own drinks. We charge £5.
Speakers, Quiz Nights, Garden Parties, BBQ's etc...
During the year we have a wide variety of events. Sometimes we have a speaker, and, on occasion, this has been in connection with a charity, to which we make a donation. We have also organised Field Days for the younger people of the church. Over the years there has been various 'outings' - to Thwaites Brewery, to Rochdale Fire Museum, to Ewood Park in Blackburn to see Rochdale FC play; and so on. Last year the Ashworth Brass Band came and played... it was a splendid performance. Once or twice a year we wine, dine and entertain the Saint Aidan's Ladies.
Numbers vary, but in general between 20 to 30 men attend each time. "It is a lovely social get-together, and anyone is welcome"
